Classroom Pics

Ever since I was in elementary school, I always wanted to be a teacher. I spent my summers playing "school" with my little sister, neighbors and friends. I went to college to get my degree in education and thought that after I graduated, I would simply land a job and get to work. Well it didn't really work out that way, but in God's timing, I have my first teaching position for the 2014-2015 school year. I will be teaching 1st grade, and since you all know that I love blogging... I created a teaching blog! What else could you have expected from me?? :)

Here are some before pics of my first classroom. I can't wait to start "moving in" in August. All the ideas in my head will finally come together, and I'm excited to see how it turns out! I will be doing an ocean/under-the-sea theme, and I think my sweet 1st graders will love it. I wasn't originally going to have a theme... it was just going to be neon/bright colors, but I just kept coming across cute ocean/sea life decor and ran with it.
